Hi, my name is Ahmed, from the United Arab Emirates and I’m studying the Master in User Experience Design at BTS.
What inspired you to study abroad?
What inspired me to study abroad is the knowledge I would get. I’ve heard loads of stories from my relatives that had the opportunity to study abroad and to be exposed to another culture, which is great.
How is living in Barcelona?
Living in Barcelona is amazing, in terms of food, weather, the people… It’s one of the best cities in Europe so I highly recommend it.
How do you see yourself in future?
I try to be the best version of myself as a designer, obviously, this is a new field for me so I’m trying to do my best.
Are you developing new skills?
Yes, I’m developing a lot of new skills because my previous field was mechanical engineering so most of the things that I’m learning are new to me. Such as design system, design thinking…
Why would you recommend Barcelona Technology School?
It’s like a community, it’s not just a university. The attention they give to the students and the materials that they teach you it’s amazing.
Is this time abroad impacting your life?
Yes. Now, I’m out of my comfort zone and I’m pushing myself to do things that I’m not used to so, it is impacting positively.
How is your experience at Barcelona Technology School?
My experience it’s been great, I’ve met loads of amazing people, my classmates from all the masters, the professors and guest speakers are amazing and have a lot of experience which is amazing to expose yourself to different knowledges. Overall, it’s been great.
