Since July 2020, she has held the position of Executive Director of Policy & Government Affairs at the pharmaceutical company Merck, Sharp and Dohme Spain, S.A. She holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery and is a specialist in Oncology with over 15 years of professional experience at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. She is a Doctor and Professor at the University of Barcelona, with extensive research experience in cancer biology and metastasis gained at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and the Barcelona Science Park.
She has training in healthcare management and public-private collaboration from ESADE, with over three years of experience in public management as Assistant Director at the Servei Català de la Salut, overseeing public procurement and operational planning of healthcare services. She has also served as Director of Health Planning at the Department of Health of Catalonia, responsible for strategic planning.
She has several publications in high-impact journals on cancer and metastasis mechanisms.
