My name is Dasha and I am from Russia, it’s easy to remember. My bachelor’s study was in the Graphic design in Moscow, and I have worked for 7 years, in the User Experience Design but more in UI prototyping.
What inspired you to study abroad?
I have a lot of friends who study abroad all over in Europe, In Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and some of them in America. I had a dream that when I finish school, I want to enter my bachelor’s in Europe, but after I had one situation that can’t help me in this, and after I finished my bachelor’s, I understood that I should make my dream come true. And after I entered in a couple of universities in Spain and Germany, and I decided to choose Barcelona Technology School, because of the innovation and start-up subjects.
How is living in Barcelona?
Barcelona is wonderful, after the Russia where It’s so cold right now, and you have -35 here it is like 20 degrees so sunny, and you have 300 days of sun. And I love Barcelona, because there are a lot of activities that you can get involved in your studies, and this area helps you to open a start-up and some business in Innovation and Technics mode.
How do you see yourself in future?
Maybe I want to work in a big corporation like, Disney, Google, or Glovo in Prototyping Mode in UI Researcher and UI Designer. Because I am feeling more comfortable with design and to create some visual parts of the apps and websites.
Are you developing new skills?
For sure, I love when our education has a lot of practical skills, and we created some Apple ID from the beginning from the first lesson. And I am the person, working in more of the design part, and right now I know how to create a project from the beginning, for example, from the user reaches, from UX management. That has helped me a lot to create the Final Project.
Why would you recommend Barcelona Technology School?
I love our university, because we have a lot of networking and very great community of students and have a lot of meetings after studies and after some lessons. And very gorgeous supporting team who helps a lot every day in our classes. And the best part of the studies, is that we have a lot of masterclasses, from guys from different countries and different corporations, for example, Google and Glovo, they came already for our the masterclasses and that is a wonderful thing.
Is this time abroad impacting your life?
I understood that after 7 months that I want to study more in this field and maybe I would work after in Barcelona, because there are lots of innovation companies who invite a lot of designers and maybe I want to stay longer in this country.
How is your experience at Barcelona Technology School?
It is wonderful! Thank you for people, subjects and for our lectures who helps a lot in our subjects and for example have a lot of teachers who help after the studies in some working aspects. For example, I asked one teacher about some comments on my already work and he gave me a lot of feedback and helped me after the lessons, that’s the wonderful thing that we will always have direct contact with our teachers and lecturers.
I love our studies and I so recommend this university for the future and for your career because it’s a practical one, and you have a lot of projects and ready portfolios that will help you a lot in the future.
