Hello, I am Dobrian and I am happy to share with you about my career path and how BTS has shaped my digital future.
What master program that you graduated from?
Master in User Experience Design
Can you tell us where are you working now and your current role?
Currently I am a Staff Product Designer at VMware by Broadcom; ex-UX Architect at Coca-Cola; and Founder of Toddlr.
How did your experience at BTS help to achieve this?
After graduating from BTS and winning the Student of the Year award, I excelled at my work, survived a significant acquisition, and have a more strategic presence in the organisation. Not only that, I also gained the courage and skills to embark on my startup journey by turning a course project into a real-live product called Toddlr – a mobile application that develops cognitive, logical, and motor skills for children aged 3-7 where parents set daily screen time and wean their kids off the screen without any tantrums.
What advice would you give to current students that are doing first steps into their career?
Find the time to immerse yourself fully in the program and take advantage of everything the professors can offer you in terms of knowledge and insights. Also, be 100% available for your group peers and pick a pack leader to drive the group forward.
If so, can you highlight any achievements or milestones you´ve reached that you´re particularly proud of?
I won the Student of the Year award. I managed to balance my work and university commitments, which made me believe I have the drive and passion to co-found my startup product while still excelling at my corporate job.
