Gonzalo Vargas

Hi, I’m Gonzalo Vargas from Santa Cruz, Bolivia and I’m studying the Master in Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Solutions.

What inspired you to study abroad?

I decided to come here to Barcelona and study because Barcelona is, even though it is my first time here, a wonderful place to study, there are a lot of people from around the world and it is a city with a lot of technology.

Are you developing new skills?

I am developing many skills such as programming, SQL, big data tools… which are going to help me a lot in the future. I chose BTS because it’s an international school also because the city of Barcelona is considered one of the technological centers in Europe. I see myself working here in Barcelona.

Why would you recommend Barcelona Technology School?

The thing that I like about BTS is that we have many people from different countries, the staff is family from the beginning and the professors are very close to you and they’re always willing to help you.

How do you see yourself in the near future?

I see myself working as a data scientist and applying all the skills that I’m learning in BTS. I feel that I overcome because of the master’s and all the knowledge I’m learning here, I’ll be fit for any job.

Is this time abroad impacting your life?

I’ve learned many things that make me more confident about myself and I’m happy to have the experience of living in two countries in Europe so, yes. It’s amazing.
