Juan Varela is a consultant and educator specializing in innovation, business transformation, and people development. He is the Co-founder of PINN, a strategic innovation consultancy that helps organizations rethink the role of innovation beyond trends and buzzwords, ensuring it becomes a core driver of business value. At PINN, he works with companies to design ecosystems where creativity, sustainability, and strategy converge to deliver meaningful impact.
His teaching and consulting work share the same purpose: to equip professionals and organizations with the tools and mindset needed to embrace change, foster collaboration, and drive transformation.
Previously, Juan held leadership roles at Mind the Gap and Everis (now NTT Data), where he designed and led large-scale learning and transformation projects across Europe. With more than 15 years of experience at the intersection of innovation, creativity, and education, he has built a career helping teams and leaders navigate uncertainty while unlocking their potential to create positive change.
Juan holds a degree in Hispanic Philology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and has complemented his academic background with expertise in communication, creativity, and technical translation.
