Mateu is a Senior Data Scientist with solid experience developing and deploying machine learning models that deliver direct business impact. Currently at Redarbor, he designs ML-powered solutions to enhance B2B data intelligence, including an automated matching model based on name similarity techniques to identify competitor publications and integrate them into the company’s data ecosystem.
Previously, he worked at Adevinta Spain, where he led end-to-end data projects within the Customer Intelligence team. His contributions ranged from predictive modeling for upselling strategies to the orchestration of ML pipelines with MLOps tools such as Kubeflow, Docker, AWS, and MLFlow. He also gained extensive experience in cloud data management (Redshift, S3) and business intelligence platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik), bridging advanced analytics with strategic business decisions.
Mateu holds dual degrees in Mathematical Engineering in Data Science and Computer Engineering from Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Alongside his technical expertise, he values teamwork and leadership, skills he strengthened during his four years as a Leisure Education Monitor.
Passionate about Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs), he is constantly exploring new applications of generative AI and emerging technologies with the conviction that they will be key drivers of transformation in the near future.
