Renielle Chavez
Renielle is a student of the Master in Big Data Solutions at Barcelona Technology School. She comes from Peru to achieve her primary goal of becoming a researcher & data scientist. Renielle is fascinated by Barcelona, every single corner of the city´s architecture and it´s tech infrastructure.
What inspired you to study abroad?
Actually, I have been trying to study abroad for a very long time, and I almost gave up. I decided to keep on with the dream, because nothing will give me the experience like studying abroad. And that is mainly the challenge, because my classmates come all from different cultures and they all know different languages. Specially all the teachers will give me the global idea and I will not get that back home.
How is living in Barcelona?
Its beautiful, I enjoy so much. Especially the architecture, every part of the city has something different to look at and see. Just having a walk is very nice, the weather is beautiful, and I love that it is sunny most of the time. The beach is right next to us, I can take a walk or a run. It´s really nice!
How do you see yourself in future?
I really hope to be involved more into the investigational area, or the science deep learning. I want to leave the business part for a moment. I want to focus into investigation and hope it happens. I feel like teachers make it sound so possible, like dreams can come true. If you want to be a scientist, go ahead!
Are you developing new skills?
I haven´t had time to self-reflect on that, I just have so much stuff to do.
Why would you recommend Barcelona Technology School?
So many wonderful things are happening at Barcelona Technology School. What I have noticed, and is very important and that I haven’t had at other universities, is that the staff are helping me all the time.
Is this time abroad impacting your life?
Yes, I never thought that studying was going to be so interesting. I feel motivated to study. My teachers are helping me, I have this urge to continue studying and go to the library, which I have not done in my life. Being a full-time student is something that is really valuable.
How is your experience at Barcelona Technology School?
My experience has been great overall, I had a great time with my classmates and my teachers. It feels like a family, like a community.
