Luca Franceschini

Luca Franceschini is a student of the Master in Digital Solutions Development, coming from Italy. He’s Mechanical Engineer with experience in renewable energy, account management and now working in business development.

Here is Luca´s opinion about studying at Barcelona Technology School. Let´s see what is his student experience at BTS Campus.

What inspired you to study abroad?

Luca: It´s a good question. I would say that actually studying abroad is a really good experience because it takes you to a different environment which you can meet a lot of new people. I think that studying a master in Barcelona is really a good choice because Barcelona is an incredible city, very dynamic and also it´s a very good city for tech development.

How is living in Barcelona?

Luca: Barcelona is a wonderful environment to live in because I see the city very dynamic. I come from Rome, and Rome has the double of the size of Barcelona, but it´s a really static environment. I mean it´s difficult to meet new people from one day to another and to have new experiences that actually can really change your life. Well, in Barcelona there are really good chances, so that´s why I like it. The fact is that it´s a very international city, a good city for living well. The sun, the sea, the perfect size, and also, opportunities. It’s great.

What do you expect for your internships?

Luca: I started the internship in business development, as time goes by we’ll have the need to talk to developers, and the knowledge that this master provides me, of course, it will help.

How do you see yourself in the future?

Luca: What I’m doing now is putting my feet in different pairs of shoes to see what turns out better. For now, I started the internship in LearnLight, which is a company that BTS introduced to me, and it’s a really good environment to work there so I think I will work there for a while.

Are you developing new skills?

Luca: Absolutely. The reason why I chose the Master in Digital Solutions Development is that in one year you will have all the instruments you need, all the tools to develop a digital solution, from UX to market research, understanding the need, developing the product, digital business and creating business plans. There are a lot of skills in this Master really useful when it comes to build and shape your own idea.

What’s your review of Barcelona Technology School? and why would you recommend BTS?

Luca: The people you meet. The students are from all over the world and they come here for a reason. The fact that people choose to come here to study a Master and develop their own ideas actually brings you a very dynamic environment, so this is, of course, one reason. Another reason is the curriculum provided by Barcelona Technology School, which is very valuable and teachers are very good. What’s more, this Master takes place in Barcelona, which is also a good reason.

Is this time abroad impacting your life?

Luca: Of course. This is my second big experience abroad because I was an Erasmus student years ago. I always value a lot the experiences of studying abroad. I see this period as one of the best of my life, so I really recommend living abroad for a while, to expand your mind, meeting new people and experiences.
