Previously MD of AI and Quantum Computing at Moody’s. Exploring the new frontiers of technology in the financial sector.
My love for technology started early, as I founded 5 companies on my own before the age of 25 (3 of which are still in business today). Over time, I became equally interested in the data that powers technologies. These dual passions and two decades of CTO roles, brought me to lead Acquire Media, which I sold to Moody’s Analytics in 2020. Currently I am the Managing Director in charge of Moody’s Analytics AI and Quantum Computing business (where I lead the Generative AI strategy), after leading Media Solutions where I coordinated a team of data scientists, data modeling strategists and technologists.
We build on decades of learnings from artificial intelligence and text-based data processing – blended with financial forecasting and risk assessment models – to surface business insights earlier than traditional data modeling alone.
When I’m not striving for data transformation in my job, I’m sharing my experiences and vision with others. I am the Academic Coordinator of the Masters of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence at BTS/University of Barcelona where I also teach several courses and advise on student capstone projects. With an interest in all things having to do with quantum computing, I lead a quantum strategy group to discuss how quantum theory will impact data and data analytics in the foreseeable future.
Having lived in 7 countries, and crossed the world several times, I specialize in multicultural environments and am expert in managing remote, diverse teams. I am also an active angel investor in early stage startups focused on deep tech and data. When I am not working, I am an ocean lover and protector, and scuba diving instructor. When all that gives me a breath, I play guitar and drums.
